Mrs. Elliott's Big 4 Rules
Respect yourself others and property.
Be responsible for yourself.
Keep a positive attitude.
Be ready to learn and have fun!
Consequences For Inappropriate Behavior
1. The first time a rule is broken the student will be given a verbal warning.
2. The second time a rule is broken the student will serve a lunch detention, will fill out a behavior reflection to be signed, and the parents will be notified.
*Mrs. Elliott has the right to change the consequence when the inappropriate behavior
calls for it. There are certain behaviors that earn students an automatic lunch detention/after school
detention. (please see handbook)
Bullying Policy
Bullying will not be tolerated at Oakdale Grade School. Students need to tell any adult at
school if they are being bullied or if someone else is being bullied. Please help us stop bullying at OakdaleGrade School!!
Bathroom/Drink
Breaks and Pencil Sharpening
Students should use the bathroom and get drinks during class breaks unless emergencies
arise. Please do not ask to use the restroom in the middle of class unless it is an emergency.Pencils
should be sharpened before class begins or during breaks!
Homework Policy
All homework assignments will be written down in students’ assignment book. They will cross off items finished at school, so that at the end of the day students know what assignments are homework. Parents you may check your child’s assignment book to see what he/she needs to be working on. Students will have some assignments that require finishing at home. Students usually will be given some class time to begin working on assignments. I do not assign busy work, the homework that is assigned is important for students’ growth in my class. I expect that all homework be finished on time. I am sure that failing to turn in homework will not be an issue this year!
Consequences for Not Turning in Homework
Students who do not turn in homework will lose ten percent off their assignment each day it is late and will receive a lunch detention. They will continue serving lunch detentions until the assignment is completed.
